There are five airports in Tibet, namely Lhasa Gonggar Airport, Ngari Kunsha Airport, Chamdo Bangda Airport, Shigatse Peace Airport, and Nyingchi Airport.

The distance from downtown Lhasa to Gonggar Airport is about 67 kilometers. It takes about one hour to go to the airport by bus, and about 45 minutes by taxi.

Ngari Kunsha Airport has launched flights to Lhasa and Kashgar.

It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours from Chamdo Bangda Airport to downtown Chamdo.

Shigatse Peace Airport is only a one-hour drive away from downtown area.

Nyingchi Airport has its own shuttle bus.
