According to the Shigatse Central Branch of the People's Bank of China, the bank implemented various financial policies and measures to assist enterprises in 2022, with focuses on increasing and stabilizing loan supply. The city's main financial indicators operated within a reasonable range, providing strong financial support for stabilizing the economic fundamentals.
By the end of 2022, the balance of various loans in Shigatse city, Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region, was 33.72 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.52 billion yuan ($510.26 million) or 11.65 percent, and the growth rate was 6.18 percentage points higher than the average level of the autonomous region.
In 2022, the bank successively issued the "Detailed Task List for Shigatse's Financial Support to Stabilize the Economy" and the " Opinions on Implementing Shigatse's Temporary Financial Support Measures to Stabilize the Economy", to boost the capability and quality of financial services in serving the real economy. By the end of 2022, more credit was issued in the four sectors of health and society, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, accommodation and catering, transportation, warehousing, and postal services in the city, and the loan balances increased by 165.52 percent, 109.26 percent, 22.97 percent, and 16.44 percent year on year respectively.
At the same time, in order to address the information gaps between banks and enterprises, Shigatse City issued the "Implementation Plan for the long-term mechanism of government-bank cooperation in Shigatse ", built a government-bank-enterprise cooperation platform and improved the government-bank information sharing mechanism, so as to facilitate smooth communication between banks and enterprises and meet the reasonable financing needs of enterprises.
By the end of 2022, the balance of inclusive loans to small and micro enterprises was 3.71 billion yuan, an increase of 1.07 billion yuan or 40.47 percent year on year; the balance of loans to private enterprises was 3.19 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 528 million yuan or 19.87 percent; and the balance of loans to individual business owners was 1.22 billion yuan , a year-on-year increase of 402 million yuan or 49.39 percent.
