According to the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region, the region plans to allocate 13.7 billion yuan to 21 programs that will improve the peple's wellbeing.
These programs include further increasing 13 subsidies for wellbeing, improving the policies of two subsidies for border residents and border guards, channeling medical–assistance teams to key counties, building oxygen supply facilities in border counties and towns located in areas 3,500 meters above sea level, and promoting the multifunctional cooking utensils designed for plateau use.
In addition, Tibet will also provide 13 county-level people's hospitals with a special subsidy of two million yuan each, and border county people's hospitals will be subsidized by an additional one million yuan. A total of 630 million yuan will be allocated to support the construction of county (district) public hospital heating projects and the operations of grass-roots heating facilities, and on the basis of the pilot project in 2022, funds will also be allocated to support the promotion of heatable brick beds in high-altitude farming and pastoral areas.
In 2022, the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region implemented 38 wellbeing programs, including the full coverage of urban sewage pipe networks, 96 rural road projects, and urban and rural residents' full access to health checkups.
