Padma Yudron, a member of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, China's top political advisory body, is committed to promoting law popularization, making the voice of ordinary people heard and helping them solve difficulties in their daily lives.

Padma Yudron is a judge of the Monba ethnic group from Medog county of Nyingchi city, Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region.

As one of the first batch of graduates from Medog Senior Middle School, Padma Yudron came back and became a grassroots judge after graduation.

When she started out, Padma Yudron often had to climb several mountains to hold hearings of legal cases locally for local villagers.

As it is a common practice for rural people in Medog to turn to the elderly for mediation instead of rendering their disputes to the court, Padma Yudron did her utmost to promote the publicity of laws, distribute her phone number among them, and win their trust and recognition.

During the hearing of all cases, Padma Yudron often takes great pains to read all relevant papers and find out all necessary information so as to help her make the correct decision.

Figures show that last year, over 80 percent of cases rendered to Padma Yudron were either successfully mediated or voluntarily withdrawn.

During an interview, Padma Yudron said that she will fulfill her political duties wholeheartedly, make full use of professional knowledge, pay more attention to the improvement of people's livelihoods, and endeavor to be a spokesperson for ordinary people.
