The output value of the cultural industry in Tibet autonomous region reached 6.33 billion yuan ($ 923.58 million) in 2022, with more than 8,000 cultural enterprises, according to a cultural work conference.
In recent years, Tibet has implemented a project to cultivate distinctive cultural industry and continued to promote the scientific and orderly development of its cultural industry, which saw more than 400 "Cultural Tibet" certified products going online and 15 cultural enterprises entering the small and micro cultural enterprise innovation and entrepreneurship service base.
In addition, the scale of Tibet's intangible cultural heritage workshops has continued to grow. More than 150 workshops have employed more than 6,000 people, held more than 600 online and offline training sessions, involving more than 100,000 trainees, and trained nearly 500,000 key members of art performance teams in administrative villages.
Going forward, Tibet will work hard to implement its cultural industry cultivation project, develop a modern cultural industry and market system, and power regional growth with the cultural industry. The region strives to actively build a bank-enterprise exchange platform and step up efforts to attract investment. Focus will be put on promoting the branding of "Cultural Tibet", where cultural enterprises in the region are expected to develop no less than 1,000 kinds of cultural and creative products, and increase the output value of the cultural industry by more than 15 percent.
