Spring Bud Scholarship awarded to 251 Tibetan Women

From May 6 to 8, the Spring Bud Project was held in Lhasa and Nyingchi, Tibet autonomous region.

The China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) and businesses donated 1.6 million yuan ($248,031) to the Women's Federation of Tibet Autonomous Region to support 251 Tibetan women in receiving quality education and help them to unleash their potential.

The project included a scientific literacy training session held in Lhasa. According to Zhu Dongyun, Deputy Secretary-General of the CCTF, the "Spring Bud" girls will receive comprehensive training in academic guidance, employment planning, targeted campus recruitment, and other means to improve their skills and promote fair and high-quality education.

Li Guoying, Minister of Family and Children's Work of the Women's Federation of the Tibet Autonomous Region said that the women's federation has implemented the Spring Bud Project for 30 consecutive years since 1994, helping nearly 10,000 girls realize their dream of education. This year, the project donated 1.6 million yuan to Tibet autonomous region, supporting outstanding female students and demonstrating the social responsibility of businesses.
