In order to carry forward traditional Chinese culture and to promote the development of Chinese culture through literature, the Administrative Committee of the Tibet Cultural Tourism Creative Park held the Tangka Art and Culture Exhibition 2023. The exhibition, with the theme of "Inheriting the Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture and Strengthening the Sense of Community of the Chinese Nation", featured various activities including the Tangka forum, creative market, and Tangka exhibition and sales.

Zhao Xiang, secretary of the Party working committee of the Tibet Cultural Tourism Creative Park, stated that the exhibition showcased Tangka exhibition and sales, Tangka art forum, demonstration of intangible cultural heritage, and Tangka painting experiences, focusing on the themes of "Ingenuity and Aesthetics", "Digital Empowerment", "Building Circles and Strengthening Chains", and "Integration of Culture and Tourism". The exhibition aims to better protect, inherit, and develop Tibetan Tangka art, and to build the Tibetan Tangka Art Park into a well-established place for traditional Tangka art development.

The Tangka exhibition is divided into five sections. The first exhibition hall presents the theme of the "new era" and showcases representative works depicting the peaceful liberation and the beauty of Tibet. The second exhibition hall mainly displays "contemporary boutique Tangka art" as well as rare mineral pigments, brushes, canvases, and other painting tools, aiming to increase the audience's understanding of Tangka art and its artistic value. The third exhibition hall presents themes such as "Adhering to Tradition and Inheriting Innovative Literature," focusing on Tangka series related to traditional literatures such as "Three Kingdoms," "Water Margin," and "King Gesar." The fourth exhibition hall presents the theme of "Heritage Tangka" and showcases cultural relics from the 14-19th centuries from the Baoxiu Art Collection. The cultural relics were being exhibited in Tibet for the first time. The fifth exhibition hall displays cultural and technological interaction backed by transparent LED technology.

In addition to the exhibition, the park also offered various experiential activities. Visitors can watch demonstrations of Tangka artists' creation process, get hands-on experience of Tangka painting, watch intangible cultural performances, and taste Tibetan cuisine.

Some of the Tangkas at the exhibition are provided by the Tibet Gama Boxiu Cultural Art Development Co., Ltd. , Tibet Gangjian Cultural Media Co., Ltd. and Tibet Yak Ruo Brand Design Co., Ltd.
