A recent contest seeking photos from students of the Buddhist Academy of Xizang has garnered exceptional photo contributions, according to the website tibet.cn.
Themed "The Moments of Beauty", the contest aimed to enrich the students' study and life and cultivate photography talent in the religious sector, according to the organizers, which included the academy and the Xizang Photographers Association.
This was the first time the academy had held such a photo contest. The award-winning works were exhibited after the contest.
Phuntsog Norgyai, the recipient of the highest award, expressed his keen interest in photography and his eager anticipation for the next contest.
Dorje Tardrag, winner of the first prize, pledged to continue using photography to show the tremendous beautiful changes in the Xizang autonomous region.
