On July 19, aboard the Lhasa-Nyingchi C881 intercity train, a simple letter connected two journeys with a shared purpose. Written by four graduate students from Tsinghua University's summer program, the message was addressed to Olympic champions traveling through Xizang autonomous region as part of the "Victory in Paris, Olympics Shine" national tour.

Unable to meet in person, the students handed their heartfelt note to staff member Li Lei from the Xining Passenger Office. Their letter expressed admiration for the athletes' perseverance and a shared commitment to serving the nation — whether through academic outreach or athletic excellence.

When the train reached its next leg, the champions received the letter aboard the C882 train, sparking surprise and gratitude. Ma Long called it "unexpected but deeply moving". The group, including Wang Liuyi and other decorated athletes, quickly responded with their own letter, praising the students' grassroots efforts and celebrating the unity of spirit that drives both teams.

As Xizang's high-speed train raced across the plateau, these exchanged letters became symbols of youthful dedication — two paths converging in purpose, each striving to honor their country through stories told and dreams chased.
